Loxwood – 5km

As it has been a while I thought I’d start with a nice 5km route from one of my favourite locations. Parking can be found at the Onslow Arms and there is ample water for hot pooches at the start and end of the run to drink or swim.

Houghton – 14km

This is a circular route taking part of the South Downs Way  starting out from Whiteways Lodge Car Park. The route is 14km/8.5ml and should be considered challenging.

Lavant – 10km

Cowdray Forest – 5.5km

Having not explored this area much I didn’t know what to expect when it was suggested by Danielle C that we have a look around with our pooches. This is a small forest South East of Crawley with wide fire tracks, sandy climbs and muddy trails.

Storrington – 7.5km

This route was suggested by Rhianwen F. Starting out right on the top of the South Downs at the end of Chantry Lane, Storrington the views here are worth the effort of putting on running shoes and getting out the door.

Nymans Woodland Trail – 5.2km

This route is a nice circular 5km which is well trodden by many in the beautiful woodlands around Nymans Gardens and house.

Slinfold – 9km

This spot is a staple for my running as it offers a variety of distances and terrains which keeps it interesting for myself and pooch. This 8 km route heads out east from the site of the old Slinfold Station using the downs link and a nice loop through some woods and along the banks […]

St Leonards Forest – 8.4km

This Forestry Commission owned site is a great place for any ability, the terrain varies greatly from wide open tracks, winding woodland trails and sandy inclines. This opens the area up for fun exploration with your dog and affords ample space for off-lead frolics in a number of streams and ponds.
