Arundel Half Marathon – 21km

A small stone castle with twin round towers sits on a grassy hill beneath a clear blue sky.

The route which is to follow deserves a little context, so I need to take you on a little journey back to 2020 which will be forever stamped in our minds as the year of Covid-19, Lockdowns and whether having wine and cheese in a room constitutes being a business meeting or a party.

Leith Hill Circular – 14km

Sunset over a calm lake with bare trees along the shore and a colorful sky.

This hilly route starts out at the base of Leith hill and leads you on a circular trail via the Leith Hill Tower and Tillingbourne Waterfall.

Henfield – 8.5km

A narrow, wet path runs through a frost-covered field with a fence along the right and a clear blue sky above.

This lovely loop which takes in the some of the Downs link and loops round along the banks of the river Adur.

Dragons Green – 7km

A wooded trail blocked by a metal gate with a sign for Dragons Estate.

This is a lovely 7km route on and around the Dragon’s Green estate following trail and woodland paths to some open fields.

West Grinstead – 6.5km

A green sign reading West Grinstead sits on a small train platform with trees in the background.

This route starts out at the old station, and follows the now disused railway line ( Downs Link ) towards Partridge Green. If you fancy a long run the downs link can take you all the way to the coast or back into the Sussex weald towards the North Downs.

Slinfold – 16.5km

Weathered wooden sign reading "DOWNS LINK" beside a mossy brick arch and green foliage.

This route utilises the downs link trail as well as the country trails and paths leading away from the main trail.

Blue Idol – 11km

A traditional half-timbered cottage with white walls and dark wooden beams sits on a green lawn under a blue sky.

Starting from the Blue Idol which in itself is a historic site and a Quaker meeting house, the route leads away from here and along quiet country trails.
