Wisborough Green – 14km

Moss-covered stone chapel ruin with a rounded apse and arched windows in a forest, with a small bell tower in the background.

This long route takes you from the village of Wisborough Green and over the hill at Bedham looping back through Hawkhurst court which was incidentally the headquarters of the Canadian army during WWII. The route is a mixture of open fields woodland trails though caution is recommended in a number of sections as it uses […]

Loxwood – 12km

A narrow muddy canal lined with trees on both sides, with a large tree trunk in the foreground.

This route brings us back to the Wey and Arun Junction Canal but this time heading away south though woodlands and fields past a number of mills along the river Arun which have been renovated to houses.

Flexham Park – 5.5K

A wide rural landscape with a grassy foreground dotted with purple wildflowers, a line of trees in the middle distance, and a distant body of water under a cloudy sky.

This compact 5.5km trail route starts right on part of the Serpent trail and once to the top of the hill offers fantastic views towards the North Downs.

Chanctonbury Ring – 10km

This is one of my favorite routes, the paths are good and the views are spectacular once you arrive on the top off the downs looking North into the Weald basin or South towards the coast where the sea can be seen (weather permitting).

Rudgwick – 8.5km

This route starts out in Rudgwick at the site of the now demolished station and leads south along the downs link.

Barns Green – 5.5km

This 5.5km route has been a staple during the winter months given the tracks it utilises.

Loxwood – 6.5km

This is the final in a series of runs starting out from the Onslow Arm in Loxwood. The route takes in part some of the restored canal and swings north along fields, woodland and trails. There is ample water along the route from running streams or the canal itself where your dogs can take a […]

Dragons Green – 5km

This lovely route is slightly over 5km which was shared by Laura and takes in some of the tracks and trails in Dragons Estate. This route starts out with easy access from the road where parking can be found for a few cars.

Loxwood – 5km

As it has been a while I thought I’d start with a nice 5km route from one of my favourite locations. Parking can be found at the Onslow Arms and there is ample water for hot pooches at the start and end of the run to drink or swim.

Loxwood – 11km

Sunlit forest path winding through trees with sunlight filtering through the leaves.

This is a lovely 11km loop starting out from the Onslow Arms in Loxwood. Parking is freely available using the Wey & Arun canal car park this route starts out heading east towards Drungewick.
