I wanted to jot a few lines to reflect on the last 12 months not just in context of Canicross Routes but also myself and my running journey which feels quite self indulgent let alone I suspect slightly less interesting for anyone who passes by but it does offer up I guess an insight to my drivers for the site as well as celebrating what I consider to have been a great year.

For my sins I try to run a half marathon each year and 2017 being no different though now running with my pooch this seemed to be a great one to try and raise a little money for the Challengers charity . The event I choose was the Kelly’s Cross Country Challenge in the exceptionally picturesque grounds of Loseley Park in Guildford.

Weekends are normally reserved for club runs and are a great social event, though this weekend with the canicross season well on the way a number of us had decided to run in the Southern Multisports 11k 12km at Coombes Farm.
